Mocking with Monkey Pants

On Friday Va-va and I walked around Anthropologie (which happens to be one of her favorite stores) and I was left in utter shock when I saw this little fellow sitting on the shelf:

The Mango

Saw an interesting piece of art today entitled: "A women being menaced by a giant mango" and it had us amused!

RenFest: The Director Cut

Last weekend a bunch of us took a trip to the Renaissance Festival to laugh observe the costumes that folks seem very keen on wearing to such events.  It seems that this place doesn't just attract medieval look-a-likes but also feature film director look-a-likes:

George Lucas was spotted filling up his car at the local Super America gas station on route to the event.  He declined to comment on if he would be wearing any kind of outfit for the proceedings.

Peter Jackson donned his Middle Earth costume (it is rumored there were some left over after they finished with Lord of the Rings) and also a pair of goblin teeth in an attempt to disguise himself whilst providing riddles and wisdom to the punters.

Work, Rest and Play

After reading about Wizard's little peek yesterday those at the Project Bowl decided to see if they could see Mars... it is amazing how clear it can indeed be seen even in daylight...

Ball Games

No posts yesterday as Va-va and I went to help out at the town fair in the soaring heat, then went to watch her brother in a football game and finally picked up La-la from the airport.
