Halloween Spam Results

I am starting to worry that The Wizard has something to do with the spam that I get.  For the second week in a row he gets the closest result with his guess of 97 and therefore wins.  It happens to be his birthday (note: expect to find something in the snail mail sir) so it is a special winning image for him this week.

Spam Results Time!

For a while tonight it looked like Va-va was going to be the winner.  Her guess of 101 was spot on and then, within the remaining 50 minutes, a flood of spam soaked the box (probably sent in by the winner) which sealed The Wizard a victory for this round!

This week's result...

Ok, so this could turn into a fun game... so this will now be a weekly feature.  Guess the spam count that my G-Mail spam counter collects (of its own accord) within a week.  It will be reset and started up again every Sunday.  Last week I tossed the idea out as a bit of a joke, but hey, why not, eh?  Maybe I will even give away prizes... though I dunno what yet... but I will work on that thought in due course... the person who gets closest wins (doesn't matter if you shoot higher or lower on the guess) just enter your guess in the comments section!

So last week the spam counter hit 57.  Jeff guessed it would hit 37 but as you can see, well, it was a big spam week this time round with 112!

I can't stand unread emails sitting in my inbox nor do I like spam just 'sitting' in my spam box.  Last Sunday I decided to stop deleting the incoming crap for 168 hours - one whole week.  To my surprise the spam didn't amount to the hundreds of mails I thought I was deleting - or perhaps it was just a slow week - but 57 was my total this week.  Time to reset the experiment and see how much it pulls up by next week... maybe we should start a pool on it?  Heh!
